Kite Festival and Art Shanties

Just a few examples of the various types of whimsy on display at the Lake Hennepin Kite Festival and Art Shanties. The art shanties are generally in place for several weekends, while the kite festival will co-occur on one Saturday in January.

I mostly photograph natural and rural landscapes, with special attention to the odd and macabre. I use a Sony Alpha 57 dSLR camera, or my cell phone, both of which I’m continually still learning to use. You can also find me on Facebook at Emily Stark Photography.
