Stairway

A staircase in the Ohio State Reformatory, an old prison [and the filming site for The Shawshank Redemption]. Currently the prison offers self-guided tours to see the cell blocks and other rooms.

I mostly photograph natural and rural landscapes, with special attention to the odd and macabre. I use a Sony Alpha 57 dSLR camera, or my cell phone, both of which I’m continually still learning to use. You can also find me on Facebook at Emily Stark Photography.
