Lonesome George
This is the Galapagos turtle called Lonesome George–over 100 years old, and as far as anyone knew, the oldest turtle there! I took this picture on a trip there in 2010; a couple years ago, it was reported that he had died.
Waterfall
This photo was from a couple of years ago, a summer with much less rain than this current one. This is the small falls at Minneopa State Park.
Fancy Black Swallowtail
I’ve only seen this kind of butterfly once–the yellow ones are much more common.
Hops
We don’t actually use the hops to brew anything, but we love these fast-growing vines and watching them grow every summer.
Tuey
This is a fairly poor picture of one of our favorite Renaissance festival acts–Tuey the juggler. Always entertaining! The Renaissance Festival is starting soon here in Minnesota; another end-of-summer sign.
Visitors
