Magnolia trees are beautiful–ours is only a couple years old, and seems to really bloom nicely every other year. This picture is from last year when there were tons of blooms on it; currently, there’s only a couple of buds getting ready to bloom.

Both of these pictures were taken in the same place, but perhaps a year or so apart, at Lamb’s Resort on Lake Superior. This is the Cross River, flowing into Lake Superior. I can’t tell if I prefer the cloudy or sunny shot.

I don’t take tons of pictures of birds, though we do have some pretty ones that come to the feeders. When I take the time to use my nice zoom lens, sometimes I can grab some good shots of them.

I love tulips; the huge array of colors, and how they are some of the first flowers to appear.

I love looking at old, abandoned houses (though I guess I’m glad I don’t live right next door to any).  I love how that one tree had turned red before all the others.

I wish I could be more specific, but I’m not sure what kind of flower this is–these are found in northern Minnesota, in the fall.

I like to take pictures of Lake Superior rocks–under water, along the water, piled up…they never get old to me.
